Hi, I’m Ivana.
To be honest, when I reached this part of the website – the part where I’m supposed to write about myself – I paused. How do you introduce yourself to someone who doesn’t know you, in a way that truly makes them feel something?
Right then, I came across an Instagram post that perfectly captured it:
“are you an artist?”, they ask.
“yes”, I say.
“and what do you create?”, they ask.
“feeling”, I say.
And that is exactly why I found my calling in photography. It came from a deep-rooted need to hold onto what otherwise disappears. To capture what cannot be repeated.
It all started with pure love – a desire to preserve moments that pass too quickly and emotions that are hard to put into words. The most beautiful part of my work is the people. Their glances, their touch, the quiet nerves before a big moment, and the laughter that follows when they finally let go.
I love hearing stories of how people found each other, how they grew together, and what their everyday life looks like between those “big” milestones. To be beside someone on days they will remember forever, and to be trusted to document it, is a great responsibility – but also one of the most beautiful experiences.
My approach is simple. I bring myself, my camera (of course), and I strive to become a part of your story.
Close enough to feel it, yet quiet enough to capture the unexpected. From the heart.
A few fun facts about me: I live in sunny Split and I’m a devotee of “slow living.” I can sip a single coffee for hours, I adore books you can’t put down, and I live for being outdoors—especially in the summer. Soparnik is my serious weakness, and I share my daily life with two little Dachshunds who have an opinion on everything and very often have the last word (and yes, they usually win).
